 Support the Vagabond Poetry Caravan

As we prepare to hit the road, over the winter, there are several modifications that we will need to make before the bus is ready for such a long and winding voyage.

The first thing we're going to do is add a solar panel to the roof and update the electrical system, so that the bus will be completely energy independent.

Next, we'll be adding a fresh water tank and compost toilet, as well as taking care of the necessary plumbing.

We're also looking to put on new tires - all six of them - and do a full mechanical check-up to make sure that everything is working properly before setting off.

Let us not forget about the bookshelves. What's a Poetry Bus without bookshelves to hold all the books we'll be carrying to the far off corners, to share poetry with the world?

To complete all this, we're looking to raise $10,000 to invest into preparing the bus for the journey ahead.

Request for Funding Proposal

On May 1^st, 2025, Mark Lipman, US National Beat Poet Laureate, will be lunching a new Poetry Bus and National Tour, with a group of poets caravaning across the country to connect communities through poetry, arts and culture on the theme of peace and building a better vision of society and the world.

Additionally, in partnership with HC Media (Haverhill Community Television), he will be filming the tour for a new poetry adventure television series, Endless Horizons.

In order to fulfill this vision and bring the project to completion, through Beyond Baroque Literary Arts Center, our 501c3 fiscal sponsor, located in Venice, CA, we are putting out a call for foundational sponsors to make tax deductible contributions to help us raise $10,000.
